The X-Files: I Quit Believing -- December 17, 2008 ![]() I finally got to see the last X-files movie: I Want to Believe. Ugh. What a disaster. This is the best they could come up with? How about they do something with Bigfoot, or dragons, or ANYTHING but the boring and disgusting plot they came up with. I loved the old X-files series, but the directors and producers have fallen far short when it comes to making the movies. People want to see monsters--not government intrigue or hatchet idiots. Granted, the first one did have aliens in it, but it still wasn't well done. I don't understand why they couldn't come up with something better. Look at the great quality of the new Batman series. Why can't they do something on that level? Shouldn't by now people in the movie industry have some sort of clue as to what may or may not work for films? Or here's a novel thought: present a dozen different manuscript ideas to a potential audience and ask them which they think may be the most exciting to see.
