Prince Caspian, The Movie - May 8, 2008 ![]() I saw the trailer, several times, of the new Prince Caspian movie that's slated to be released on May 17th. Disney looks to be keeping it in line with the The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe as far quality goes. I will be in line to see it, since I immensely enjoyed the first movie. If it's anything like the book, it remains to be seen. We all know that it's almost impossible for movie producers to make movies exactly like the books. Some ideas are just hard to transfer from a book to the big screen. Plus, they only have a couple of hours to work with, which makes the process even more challenging. However, it can be done, if they take the time to do it right. With the influx of good graphics software. anything is possible for fantasy these days. I read the Narnia series when I was about ten. I loved the books then. I wouldn't mind seeing some studio picking up the Prydain series by Alexander, or Donaldson's Thomas Covenant chronicles (at least the first three books in that series. Yes, I know Disney did The Black Cauldron as a cartoon, which I enjoy with my kids on a regular basis. But I'm talking about live action. Well, as far as what I've seen from the trailers of Caspian, I don't think we'll be disappointed. 2008-05-08 12:40:34 GMT
